I still know the kitchen from the Flurwirt in S, miss the Maultaschen Jäger-Art. Please hold on until after Corona!
Unfortunately it was closed due to Corona.
Ultra-delicious food, attentive service. Beautiful area, we would love to come back
We were guests with a group of 24 colleagues. The food was excellent - the trollinger roast on point medium fried with strong sauce! Portion just right, the side salad very plentiful! Waiting time (45 min.) For a group where a'la cart is eaten was completely ok! If others say otherwise, they have I have no idea - I am more educated myself Chef and spent 12 years in the best hotels cooked in the northern Black Forest and know me very good. And anyway: the innkeepers have it anyway Incredibly difficult in the Corona time, that's why every (!) negative rating on the net is damaging to business !!! Anyone who has something to complain about should have the courage to explain this personally on site, even if they have the "right" to submit online reviews. But that's probably a generation problem - every meal has to be photographed immediately and often judged disrespectfully, but otherwise you eat from the microwave or with fast food! So: The Talwiesenschenke is recommended! With best regards, Jörg Fischle
It doesn't matter if there are 18 or 24 guests, I can understand it with 50 guests, but that doesn't work today and I'm not the only one who has seen it that way. A small menu and then the side salad comes after 51 minutes where others have already drunk 3 colas sorry. And the side salad is too big: almost as big as the one with the Maultaschen (or 1 Maultasche)
Extremely nice service. Food was very tasty ... you can tell, everything was done by myself! Never had such a good and special side salad. In one word .. SUPER!
Simply mega mega delicious. I am someone who always looks at everything on the Internet, reads through reviews and makes price comparisons. If you are someone like that or just a hiker or an athlete or whatever you just come here. Come here hungry with a smile - Käsespätzle are awesome. The salad with it is a whole portion and there is no sparing with cheese and richness. 5 stars will be back. But the Kâsespätzle I don't know how big the other portions are!
Very positive, friendly reception / service. Rostbraten very well done and special praise for the side salad: varied, crispy, fresh and excellent in taste.
Very nice location, nice staff, food was perfect
Unfortunately, I cannot imagine where the many positive reviews of this inn, which is actually located in the forest, come from. An extremely unfriendly waiter who obviously does not yet know the function of the Google rating, a team of service staff who seem to be overwhelmed with a quarter-filled restaurant and the attitude that groups are served in front of individual guests, even if they are only ten minutes Coming to the restaurant later is not an option. After our table was wiped off by an elderly gentleman with an obvious lack of awareness of what constitutes polite treatment of guests, this was not completely what is actually customary in Corona times, let us sit for a good 10 minutes without looking at it. After I asked a service lady about the menu, she said it would take time, the group will be served before you. The impossible thing about this situation is that we were ten minutes before the group in the restaurant and because of this, as well as a table next to that, which was also not served, got up and left the restaurant. Thank you never again Update on the helpless and arrogant wauwau answer: THANK YOU for being disgusted. So we went and were able to find the best restaurant in town. Despite the almost full occupancy, we were well catered for within a very short time. More in my evaluation of the Klosterscheuer. Byebye and get well soon!
In the middle of nature and in the hiking area. Friendly service and affordable prices. Small beer garden behind the house. Plenty of parking spaces. Not suitable for handicapped people due to stairs.
We were here for a short stop and a coke during a road bike tour. Very nice and courteous employees / operators. Cozy place. Recommendation.
We would not have expected that after the somewhat bumpy greeting. The food was very tasty. The salads really homemade and really delicious. Our hiking day was perfectly rounded off.
Great starting point for great hikes to Teufelsmühle, Kaltenbronn, Dobel etc. And in the end a stop at fair prices. Nice and quick service, good food with large portions. Beer garden available, but the restaurant inside is also impressive. In the small ski lift and the forest experience "Wildcat". All in all worthwhile
Very friendly owner. The food was fresh and delicious. The portions are perfect for the big hunger Served with a nice fruit side dish. Price performance top. Will come back 👌
Delicious food at fair prices. Nice service. You can sit inside and outside. Giant servings. Starting point for great hikes.
Extremely good cheese spaetzle and roast roast! Although a small menu, everything tastes homemade and comes fresh on the table
Delicious, good traditional food (accordingly, little choice for non-meat eaters). Maultaschen and cognac from own production. Very friendly, warm service!
I recently visited MTB Tour Talwiesenschanke. The recommendation was a summer sausage salad with radishes, cucumbers ... It tasted great and you sit nicely. By far better than another hotspot nearby
Very cozy restaurant in a great location as a hiking destination or starting point for skiing in winter. The exhibited musical instruments and antiqutäten make it very worth seeing. The baked Maultaschen were excellent and the landlady very friendly.
Grumpy host, but the food (two soups and some maultaschen) was perfection and really hits the spot after some hiking. Very clean and authentic interior. Sadly no desserts.
Very good location and friendly people unfortunately I would not recommend the salad.
Didn't try the food as it was just a quick rest stop during our hiking trail but the beer was definitely good, Klosterbräu, which I recommend trying. It's in a great spot to revitalise parched hikers be that at the end of their hike or at the beginning. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
